November 2017 – Blog Net Income Report

Welcome to the November 2017 Blog Income Report! Apologies on the delay this month, we have been a bit busier than usual as we close out the year. As I stated in last month’s income report, I may be stopping these reports after next month for privacy concerns and such. The verdict is still out, and I will keep you all updated as usual.

For now let’s just enjoy the current month in review, despite it not being a fantastic one.

Monthly Earnings Review

November was by far my lowest month of the year, coming in at nearly $11,000.

Considering that last month I surpassed $80,000, the month of November seems like a bust by comparison. Even $11,000 annualized would still be a nice 6-figure income from a side business I created from my bedroom and a laptop. I had some large payment delays that greatly affected the timing of earnings. Most of those earnings either fell into October, or now into December. December will be a much better month in terms of overall net earnings.

Let me be clear, I still have no complaints. The additional money I have earned from my digital marketing business has afforded me the ability to invest wisely in real estate, equities, and other profitable business ventures that are helping me to increase my overall net worth.

Goals and Expectations

Improve the Current Stable of Sites: I have paused my efforts to buy up more sites until I can figure out the best way to optimize my current stable of sites. I am researching plugins that will make the content creation and SEO process less cumbersome. Once I find the right set of improvements and plugins to use on this site, I can essentially roll out the same process to all the others I own. I feel like I’m leaving a lot of passive income on the table right now just because I haven’t made necessary improvements to the sites.

Increase my customer base: I’m still utilizing LinkedIn like never before. Signing up for a premium account has already proved to be invaluable. I wish I had realized the power of this social networking site a long time ago. I’m not signing large volumes of new business, but I am making slow and steady new contacts and some of that has been translating into cold hard cash.

Work towards becoming a full-fledged digital marketing agency: I am talking to a potential partner about synergies we might have when it comes to building out a full stack agency. It’s been on the slow burner all year, and remains there as I simply have too much going on right now. I do think that purchasing a content creation business is a good start to it all. I want to purchase an instantly profitable business, even though I know the out-of-pocket cost would  be quite an investment. I think starting a content business from scratch would be more of an investment of my time than picking an established one up that has a steady customer base.

In Summary

Remember… it all started with one website…my entire business began with just starting a single personal finance blog! Now it appears I will have net earnings over $1,000,000 this year! I’m not a coder, I don’t understand anything that a website plug-in can’t do for me. I’m a technical idiot. My expertise and strength has been in my persistence to simply grow a business online and not to get discouraged and stop. It took me nearly a year until I earned a dime from my online endeavors, and now I’m on track to earning 7-figures annually.

My ultimate goal isn’t to retire, but rather, be financially independent. I work a day job currently, but the important part is that I don’t have to. I do it because it’s a challenge, I like the people, and I choose to do it. Eventually I might choose to do something else, and I am fortunate enough that I should be able to pursue whatever that is when the time comes.

Think of something you are passionate about and create a blog and put some effort into it! You don’t necessarily have to be the best at it…it only require passion and patience, and the money will eventually follow. Just go to my Easy 4 Step Tutorial on How to Create Your Own Website and get started. The sooner you start the sooner you can carve your path to financial independence!
